MN1 (registration) application processing timelines (only)

Hi,

Is anyone else waiting since january / February Time? I know it says it can take up to 6 months, but lately it has been around a month for a response. What could be the hold up?

The home office received my application on the 18th and letter was sent to me on the 21st with an acknowledgement. It is now nearly 2 months?

I have emailed rhem, but they have not get back to me. I am worried that thry may have asked for more informatiom, but that lettet was lost in the post.

Though I received acknowledgement letter and email, I have not received the certificate yet!
I too applied for my son on 18th March and the fee was deducted on 26th March!

I need advise pls?

I apply MN1 for my son on 30/03/15, they haven't deduct money yet I m so concerned if I should call them, I Tracy it from the Royal Mail n it was received on 31 of March. I just got mine approval 2weeks ago as my son wasn't born in this country I was thinking may be because of that is delaying to take payment or any suggestion?

In MN1application there is a place say mother should write passport number as I haven't got passport no then so I left it blank because by the time I send my son application I don't know mine application has been approved n it was on the way to me but I included a written note on page 15 that my application still on consideration with ref:no bla bla bla.

So any suggestion will be great appreciate.

I've received the certificate of registration in the post this morning. I had applied to register my 2 year old UK born child as a British Citizen. Here are the timelines.

Section: 1 (3)
Applied via: NCS
NCS Appointment: 11-03-2015
Fees Debited & Ack letter date: 19-03-2015
Certificate Approval Date: 07-04-2015
Certificate of Registration received: 15-04-2015

I applied via NCS because my wife needed original documents including Marriage certificate for her ILR application. I was happy with the NCS service. £30 wasnt that big amount for the peace of mind for application to be processed smoothly which also included postage fees which normally cost £6.40 at least for Special Delivery. Staff was very polite & it hardly took about 15 mins to verify original documents & photocopy them at NCS.

Regarding referees, my GP & kid's pre-school teachers refused to sign the form as referees, so two of my friends signed on the form. I included additional note in the form mentioning this as recommended by the NCS staff.

I'll be applying for my son's British passport now.

I am also in the same boat as yours. I applied through NCS Basingstoke on 1 April 2015 for my son (1 year old) but yet to get the money deducted from the bank. Not sure when they will deduct.

I applied for my son on 27 march 2015 through NCS camden, london. Documents were received on 30 march 2015 as per royal mail track and trace service. So far Money has not been deducted yet as of 16/04/2015.

I have recently received my ILR on basis of 10 years. I want to apply MN1 for my two kids born in uk but now aboard.

Can any one please guide me through on the following basis

- My wife is still my dependent
- Kids born in 2012 & 2013 and travelled aboard in March, 2014


With above circumstances can I apply their MN1 from here (UK) even they are aboard, if not can I than apply from aboard.

me and my wife had ILR approved through Tier 1 general (5 years) route recently, we have two kids a daughter and boy, both born in UK, i am filling the MN1 FORM, have couple of questions; 1.1 what section under we will be applying? 1.2 what would be UKBA reference?
Section 2 - question 2.1 date they first come to Uk? will it be date of birth of kids i believe because that is the date they born and come to UK?

I think you come under section 1(3), so 1.1 is 1(3), leave the rest blank, you don't have to fill section 2 as if says it resident in united kingdom or British overseas. I have done like this and waiting for final certificate.

you can wait for second opinion as well.

Basically we have the same case. my sons application was received by the HO on the 24th of March. Same acknowledgement date as yours. Jusr relived to know that i have someone with the same date of application still waiting as well. hope we here from them soon. thanks

I can see from some posts that there has been a lengthy delay in HO deducting the fee for applications towards end of March 15 and beginning of April 15. Could it be due to the New Bio-metric registration requirement.
