Hi guys, just a quick query. I booked a holiday to travel on April 6th quite a few months back. As a student I simply can't afford to just let it go, it is quite expensive and I can't change the dates. I was made aware at my naturalisation ceremony that I will have to return my ILR immediately which I did. I applied for the
passport straightaway. I was aware that most of the passports were being processed within 2 weeks. I was told this by the
passport office advisors too. I have been told that its all been clear security and documentation wise and its just under examination since the 24/03/2016. Since its nearly over a week, I am starting to stress out! I called in again today and was told that they will 'upgrade' me. I was told to wait for a call from the
passport office. I am still waiting for this call but I need to go back to University instead of stressing over this! Does anybody know what this upgrade is or if I can do anything at all to quicken the process? I understand the Durham office is not particularly great at processing quickly. I will really appreciate some advice.
