ILR Application Extension more than 180 days on WorkRelated

Post by deepak_krishnegowda » Thu Jul 10, 2014 5:20 pm

Hello Guys ,

Please help in some clarifications on my circumstance .

My Visa Tier 1 General was granted on November 1st 2010 but I came to UK on March 1st 2011. I got my Visa extended on October mid and was granted extension until November 1st 2015.

As per current Visa rules , since I did not come first to UK with in 90 days , I need to apply for second extension to be eligible for ILR.

My questions are :-

a) In the year 2012 , I was outside UK on an offshore assignment which was work related for more than 180 days . I was getting UK salary during this period and was paying tax to UK government . So will the year 2012 be counted towards continuous employment requirement.

b) I am planning to apply for ILR after I get the second extension on March 2016 . So am eligible for ILR assuming the time I spent outside UK in 2012 on work related assignment.

c) When I get second extension next year . Since deadline is April 5th next year , will I get an extension for three years if I say I made application on March 2015.
