Documents submitted 11/03/2015 (HMRC took 2 months to release certain documentation)
Emailed and Called HO 26/06/2015 (Impatient at this stage)
Response stating another 3-6 months to make decision 02/07/2015
Naturally contacted Local MP 03/07/2015
Mail from HO stating a decision of either acceptance or rejection will be made in 3 weeks time 08/07/2015
Citizenship Confirmation Received on 20/07/2015
Citizenship Ceremony 22/07/2015
Filling up the feedback request received from HO (since 23/07/2015)
It has been a painful wait but I can assure you a lot of application are waiting there because we are not being pushy enough if we believe we have nothing to hide and our application is straightforward.
Hi Siraj, many thanks. Basically we started off mentioning that being a straight forward application, we are a bit stumped by the awful lot of time being taken by HO to make this decision. We mentioned that we are well aware that MPs cannot influence the decision of HO and it is how it should be. However, on our behalf would he be able to enquire for what reason our application is taking almost close to a year. This was a very straight forward application of an applicant who has emigrated to this country 6 years back and has established themselves in the society upholding the true spirit of this country. I also added if there is anything that can be done from our end to expedite the process, we are more than happy to provide HO with further evidence.Siraj ud-Daulah wrote:Many congratulations! Then I mentioned the Application Number, Names and Date of Birth of Applicants, Case Worked Name.
