Post by moonstar9823 » Sat Dec 19, 2015 10:39 pm

Hi,

Can some please quickly explain the difference between Form SET(LR) and FLR(LR)??

SET(LR) = settlement through long residence 10 year route.
FLR(LR) = ??? Further leave to remain ???

SET(LR) is to apply for "indefinite" leave to remain (ILR = settlement = settled status = permanent residency) under "long residence" route
FLR(LR) is to apply for "limited" leave to remain (extend current LR leave for a definite / limited period of time, e.g. - 3 years) under "long residence" route.

FLR(LR) is an application to extend your stay if you have not been able to meet the KOLL requirements in order to apply for ILR on the basis of 10 years long residence but you meet all other conditions to be eligible for ILR. The extension will be granted for a period of two years.
