VFS are responsible only for accepting applications and providing advice and guidance where necessary. All visa applications are assessed by Visa Officers at the British High Commission.

So finally all applicants from hyd, blore and chennai wait on BHC chennai!
Integra may be done in individual city.. not sure on that!

All documents are assessed at BHC office only...from there, instructions are sent to integra people. Integra is considered important first before visa assessments of bank statements, UK accomodation, and other stuff.

Any update on your visa application ?
I had sent a mail to chennai bhc but no reply

Many on the feb list are still waiting for visas. Good that this monday is not a holiday for chennai bhc!

I have applied for HSMP EC on 27th of March 2008
I have shown 2 lacs Fixed Deposite in a bank and a job offer with salary and accomadation in UK

Any body please let me know if it is ok

Is the FD in your name only. If its under joint name, then its good if you are the primary owner. In other words your name should appear first.

Since you have a job offer and accomodation arranged, your case is very strong.

I had applied for EC on 13th March from Bangalore and had shown hotel booking of 7th Aprpril to 21st april from Booking.com.
Since my visa has not yet come, and bookin cancellation date was lapsing, I cancelled the booking.

Now, I am planning to book again for May 2nd week to 3rd week and fax the new booking mail and old booking cacellation confirmation mail.

Is this fine ? Any other suggestions or better way to handle this ?
Is this fax number correct : fax : 044 42192320 ?

Plz suggest.

Got a reply from chennai BHC:

After a pretty long time was happy to see some change in the status of my application. it now says "Processed application delivered to Blue Dart on 03 Apr 2008". Should be getting the passport in a day or two.

Congrats! you can the courier details on bluedart website. enter your passport number as reference number.

Congrats catchme!!! Your application is processed in 14 working days..that's pretty fast.

VFS call centre gives the same status as seen in their website and they do not have update about applicant's Integra check as well.

Only BDHC can give the Integra status details.

Atlast news from my side....
Visa has been decided and I checked change in status today after 29 days...it says
Your application is forwarded to AC 04 Apr 2008

So, will go to VFS centre and pick up my parcel monday morning!
Till then Pray for me.....hehehhehehehehe.

Despite backlog and all, they are pretty much on time if not exact 18 days ( tht is minimum , not the deadline of 18 working days by BHC).
Today is 20th working day and it has been sent!
