Parents' details + keeping passport

Post by tresgoya » Sun Mar 31, 2019 4:03 pm

Re: parents details. I'm having issues with these. My parents passed away when I was little and I don't really have the details they ask for on the naturalisation form in official docs. I asked my cousins who gave me the DOB's and the towns of birth, but I can't guarantee these are 100% accurate. The only thing 100% is that I know the country my parents were born in and the month/day. Is this a problem? I am planning to flag this to HO as I don't want to accidentally state something inaccurate on the form, but I'm a bit scared they might have an issue with this.

Do I understand well that if I do the naturalisation application online and then bring my docs to UKVCA, I get to keep my passport and can travel abroad while the decision is pending?

Passport you get back immediately after its scanned.
As for your parents birthdates, you can mention month and date and mention in notes that since they passed away when you were very young, you have no documentary evidence and are unsure about the exact year.
