Wrong address postcode in ILR VISA application

Post by skporal » Wed Dec 18, 2019 3:28 pm

Hello,
I have window appointment on 27th Dec 2019, and I am applying through Solicitor, But he filled out address manually entered wrong postcode in the application and submitted it. that's the silly mistake. address in all the documents are correct. Now he is suggesting to file another application. and ill get refund for the previous application.
I have called home office explaining the situation, they suggested to write a cover letter mentioning the mistake. But Solicitor still asking to file a new application. Can any one faced this situation, and quite confused.
Response is much appreciated

Thanks

There is no longer such a things as 'window appointment'. You are only attending a third party agent to enroll biometrics and identity check. They are not HO staff or caseworkers.

Presumably all your supporting documents have been uploaded to the UKCVAS system??? Simply add a covering letter explaining with proof of address etc. No need to submit a new application.

I mean fast track, same day service (Window appointment).

It is not a window appointment, which means the old Premium Service Centre where your appointment was with HO directly and you got a decision while you waited. The UKCVAS service is NOT the same and there is no longer a 'same day service'. It is super priority 24 hour service, which is not guaranteed.

Every single person making an application has an appointment with UKCVAS Sopra Steria, it is only for biometrics.
