Cohabitation evidence for unmarried partner

Hi all,

My unmarried partner and I are currently on work and student visa, respectively. Both are valid until October. I am planning to apply for SW visa now, and it is likely my partner will need to apply as a dependant because her job is not permanent. Due to the 'unmarried' part, I am a bit of worried if her dependant application would be successful, although we have lived together more than 2 years.

My question is, if we apply together, will her possible refusal affect my application?

Is it better for me to apply first and let her apply as a dependant after I get the decision?

depends on the documentary evidence you can produce for at least 2 years cohabitation

you cannot apply together, she'll have to apply separately online and she'll need your application number -which you’ll get when you apply (GWF or UAN number).

The outcome of your switching application from student to skilled worker will not depend on the outcome of her dependant application.

She has the following separated in 3-4 months in her name only:
1) Council tax bill
2) Bank statement
3) Mobile phone bill
4) Work contract showing current address
5) A pension letter showing current address
6) A private medical bill showing current address

I have the following separated in 3-4 months in my name only:
1) Electricity bill
2) Bank 1 statement
3) Bank 2 statement
4) Bank 3 credit card statement
5) Broadband bill
6) Mobile phone bill

And the following in both names:
1) Water bill

As long as both sets of independent evidence are for the same address and the same duration, shouldn't be an issue. If you paid the electric bill for one particular month and your partner has been paying council tax for the same property for the same month, that should be evidence enough that you have been living together plus you do have a water bill with both of your names on it for the same address.

There isn't anything on your sponsor side for the dependent visa.
