You should use the earliest visa endorsement or approval. You do not need bank statement for a year or proof of address

After a parent is granted ILR, a UK born child is entitled to register for British citizenship directly.

Thank you. For a baby born outside UK if both parent has ILR then can we directly apply for British citizenship ?

Children born outside the UK to non-British parents have NO entitlement to British citizenship. Such a child can only be registered as British (via the discretion of the home office) if the child has ILR, one parent is British and the other one is at least settled.

ILR Application Queries

Post by denslinsunitha » Sun Jul 10, 2022 7:05 pm

Hello Team,

In next few months I’m eligible or ILR and I have few clarifications related to the ILR application.

Below are the dates from my Passport and BRP

Passport entry clearance visa page - valid from date - August 29,2017

Passport visa page - stamped on entry to UK - September 1,2017 – travelled from my home country

BRP card - Date of issue - September 5,2017

Q1 : While filling up the ILR application, there is a question “When did you first enter the UK?(Required)
This is the date you entered the UK when the period of stay you are basing this application on started.” Could you please let me know which date I need to fill in this question based on the above three dates which I have mentioned.

Q2: Evidence of your absence from the UK and Crown Dependencies
I have travelled to outside UK twice in 5 years, totally around 7-8 weeks. I have applied annual leave from my company and visited my home country. What kind of evidence I need to submit for this?

My husband and daughter changed their visa from ICT visa to Tier 2 general dependant visa in UK.
ICT intra company entry to UK – Aug 2016
Tier 2 general visa BRP card - Date of issue - September 26,2017

Q3: what’s the date for my husband and my daughter to apply ILR application. Do they eligible to apply same as from my date since they are already in UK from Aug 2016(ICT intra company visa)

1. The first date of entry to the UK
2. Passport pages are enough
3. There is no difference in the PBS dependent visas. There was no Tier 2 ICT dependant or TIer 2 General Dependant visa, etc. All were PBS dependent visa. If they have 5 years under a dependant visa, they are eligible too
