Visiting EU as a family member of British citizen

Post by BlossomAyesha » Wed May 22, 2024 3:22 pm

Hi every one!
I recieved today a successful decision.
Thank you to all forum members for helping me throughout this forum.

Dear All, I and my husband wish to visit Eu frequently, what is the best advice?
Do we require visa prior to enter the Eu or we can get it on arrival,

My husband has British passport and I have BRP.

Assuming you are a visa national for most countries in the EU then you’ll need a visa.
British citizens are third country citizens, they have no special privileges for EU except visa free travel for up to 90 days, this cannot be transferred to visa national family members.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Yes. You probably require a stricter, non-free, Schengen visa, depending on your nationality. It’s just one of Brexit’s “benefits”.
