Irish passport "place of birth" and ESTA

Post by Littlepaws » Mon Dec 22, 2025 1:13 am

I received my Irish passport 2 days ago, and it lists the place of birth as "GBR"

Probably a silly question, but is this what I enter into the ESTA application under "City of birth" or do I just continue to list my city which I was born in for that field? Even if it doesn't match what's on my passport?

GBR Is just the official 3 letter country code for the United Kingdom. When the US ask you for the city of your birth, give them the city of your birth.
