new masters rule for renewal

Post by joy_kavee » Tue Feb 24, 2009 6:30 pm

hi
i was granted tier 1(general migrant) in january this year and wife as tier 1 dependant.
In 3 years time, when i need to renew the tier 1, will the new masters rule be applicable for my case since my initial application for tier1 was based on a bachelor's degree?

Next, since my wife is on tier 1 dependant and thus can work. If they do change the rule for 'no work for dependant' , will it apply upon renewal , to cases where initial application to tier 1 was well before the rules come in application.

thanks.

Synopsis: no one knows for sure, and even the Home Office isn't being clear and forthcoming on the matter, perhaps because policy is still being formulated. See the gigantic thread dedicated to this concern.
