HSMP Extension - queries on dependents

Post by rollie » Thu May 14, 2009 1:00 pm

Hello,

I have been in the UK since 4th September, 2007 with a HSMP Visa. My 2 daughters came with me as my dependents. They were then age 17 and 14 years.

My VISA is up for renewal this September.

I have the following questions:

1) My daughters will be age 19 and 16 years when I apply for extension. They are both dependent on me financially and are full time students.
I have bank statements showing that I transfer money to them monthly. Is that sufficient? If not, what other documents should I provide

2) We are all living with my sister who is a PR in the UK. Will that be an issue when I apply for an extension?
Do I need any documents from her ?

3) My husband is not currently living in the UK and does not have a dependent VISA. I am planning to apply for a dependent VISA for him but not sure when would be the best time to do it. I want to ensure that I have the extension first so that I know I can remain for the next few years. However, he may need to be out of the country quite a bit. Would there be an issue if he is out of the UK for more than 3 months during that period? What are the consequences, if any?

I would appreciate any feedback on the above questions.

Thanks & Regards,
Rollie
