I would like to find out if it will be possible to regain my dutch nationality as i was born in the netherland in 1991 to an immigrant mom and dad from africa i stayed in the netherlands untill i was 8 years old and was in full time education during my stay my parent were informed that i could claim my citizenship once i turned 16 by the government officials unfortunately me and my family left for ireland when i was 8 and could not claim the citizenship i was suppose to get. Am now 18 years old and a resident in ireland and would like to find out if there is anyway i could reclaim dutch nationality thanks

You certainly did not get it by birth if not one of your parents was Dutch at that time.

Should you have obtained Dutch nationality you will not loose it as long as you stay in the EU. If you move out you will only loose it after ten years but only if you never applied for a Dutch passport in that time.

As you did not live in NL for 10 years between the ages of 4 and 19 there is no preferred treatment as to your return.
