How long can i stay out of the country under Tier 1 General?

Post by Saphira2 » Sun Dec 13, 2009 8:33 am

Hi,

I just recieved my Tier 1 General Migrant Visa. I eventually plan to apply for ILR.

I understand that when applying for ILR they also check the periods in which you were out of the country.

my question is how long can you be out of the country under Tier 1 General without affecting the requirements for ILR. note i am a Non european union applicant

Would really appreciate your help!thanks!

valid work permit and a tier 1 skilled migrant visa

Post by Saphira2 » Wed Feb 17, 2010 1:13 pm

Hi,

I am currently based outside of UK. i hold a valid work permit (which is tied to a specific company) and i also recently got my tier 1 skilled migrant visa.

my question is,

1.Is it possible to have both visas?

2.If not, which would be considered the valid visa? note i haven't got my skilled migrant visa validated yet.

3. If i travel to the UK on my work permit , will it caus issues for my tier 1 visa ( no i don't want to do this, but due to circumstances beyond my control i may have to)

would really appreciate your thoughts on this.
