Hello, I got married on Feb 18th 2010 in New Delhi, India.
My wife works as RGN in Bristol. After our marriage, we went together to VFS office in New Delhi and filed our papers on March 5th 2010. Thereafter as her leaves got over, she had to leave back for Bristol on March 8th 2010. At the time of filing my papers with VFS office, I filled in true facts in VAF 2 form stating I was denied tourist visa 5 years back due to insufficient funds in my bank account.
Now I have balance of close to 6 Lacs INR with complete audit reports and both current accounts and savings account of myself also submitted to VFS office along with my wife account who has 9 Lacs INR in her account. We have submitted marriage certificate also.
As my wife had to leave back on March 8th 2010, we filed our papers on March 5th and therefore I could not get her name on my passport as my spouse/wife. However all the other relevant documents have been submitted.
Now it has been almost 20 working days and their website still says - "Your visa is under process with the British High Comission."
Can anybody please advise/suggest/update how much time it will perhaps take more to receive a visa or if anybody of you see an hurdles of any type.
Waiting forward to hear any suggestions/recommendations/advise from anybody experienced.
Thanks in advance for awaited response.
