I hope this is not what UK government aimed for by introducing a 'Life in the UK test'

for ILR applicants...
Again another person - comming here first time, 2 days after they received their visa, and announces happy news - its a paradox, well done

?!

When the "Life in the UK" was first introduced I thought it was a joke. How dare they ask someone like me who has spent most of their life in the UK sit such a test! But now I'm wishing for the day when they bringing in a written and verbal test. I will gladly sit it if it means it stops people like this getting in (that's if his/her story is true which I doubt it is... 10 year student my @rse )

Sam-Zen,
all I can say is that you have a real talent hidden inside you - dont waste your talent on the forum please, but go away to become a professional writer, you never know, perhaps, you can make a great career doing it.
The previous posts were very funny indeed - first said that wife applied, then said that husband applied and in the end announced that lives with Danish girlfriend - I wonder what will come in the next chapter of the book!?

The way to stop these trolls is not to post "any news" messages. They only ever appear to response to these. Read back you will see a pattern.
Any news? Next post is someone with a quick response.
Let's assume no news equals no news. I'm sure that the regular genuine posters will be quick to post their good news unless they've quickly rushed off abroad for a well deserved holiday.
It's all very silly isn't it. Though I must admit the latest troll made my day

ilr applications posted on 9th feb 2010 on the basis of long residence (students).
I called the UKBA on last friday for the second time and the reply was same "your application is not completed yet", and the person told me that long residence applicatios take longer time than other applications to process. i am waiting few more weeks till it hits the 6 month time to give them another call.
