Policy Guidance Quotes

The provision for maternity or adoption-related absence is designed to allow an applicant to claim points for previous earnings under Tier 1 (General) if he/she has been unable to earn during the 12 months before the application because of a period of maternity or adoption-related absence from the workplace.

Have you had maternity, paternity or adoption leave from your work?

Thank you..

I am a male parent.
Yes i didnt work for 1 month because my child was born.i was on holidays.
I have no salary in that month.
i was wondering if i can exclude that month to complete 12 months as i am short on previous earnings.

or is it only maternity/female parent Allowance?

It needs to be maternity or adoption related leave, read the rest of the guidance and the documents required. It doesn't mention paternity leave, and you said you took it as unpaid holiday.
