I think the reason for this increase every month is that: people are requesting their employer to apply for COS with the salary little bit more than the last cut off.arsenal49 wrote:fricking hell.... 32k and 36k ???? that is insane.....
Genuinealb wrote:Hi all,
How come my employer got a CoS on the january panel with a salary of 22k?
Was I lucky or the UKBA didn't see it?
Anyway I am still in deep sh... because my work pemit visa had expired when I got the CoS.
I sent the application anyway with a covering letter.
God help us all.
what is the title and salary as mentioned on your COS application.agui5589 wrote:anyone successfully get the COS for the February panel (1st of February)? My employer is still waiting for the additional allocation of certificate for me, although it is already 09th of February... Thanks in advance!!!
Hi there, reliefe to hear that you have a similar situation before,I just want to ask what happen to u afterwards? I am in the same situation. Did the exceptional consideration work? Did it take a month or moretowerrounder wrote:Hi All I received on Thursday. My PSW expires at the end of the month so it was late but in time.
The company had to apply for an additional COS for me, and its taken around a month and a half for the home office to get back to us.
They are an existing A rated sponsor and I've been working with them for just over two years.
Hope that helps.
Good luck!
Hi there,i m currently doing the same application and consider doing the same thing..sending application without COS as my employer is trying to send Expcetional consideration. After taken your money, when did they send all your doc and passport back? what happened. Much appreciate your help..Genuinealb wrote:An update,
I have applied for a Tier2 visa without a CoS on the very last day of my visa. I am switching from work permit to Tier 2 for the same employer.
Today they have taken the £475 fee from my account.
Is this a good sign tht they might hold on to my application?
Good luck to you all.

Hi there, good to hear that you have got your COS and apply from Outside UK, I want to know if it was much easier applying from outside UK.P_King wrote:Hi....
I applied from India and it took around 15 working days to get my visa.
Kind Regards..
@pricesoft - Just wondering if you can share how you resolved this issue? did you make new application within or outside the UK or probably went for the appeal with your COS. Please could you share your experience if you are still in this forum. thanks.pricesoft wrote:As hsyasin said, it is a tricky one.
If you are in the UK,I'll suggest that you go to the appeal armed with the COS you have just been issued. Not sure whether you are going for the oral appeal or the written appeal, but in any case you ideally want to make sure that the arguments are along the lines that there was a delay with the UKBA issuing the COS but that you've now got it. I don't know what your chances are and I wouldnt want to speculate.
If the appeal is allowed with the COS, then fine, otherwise you can then send in a new tier2 application with the same COS you have just been issued. You might need to return to your home country to re-apply though. Very importantly, keep in mind that the COS must be used within 3 months from date of issue I think, so you need to make sure that whatever you decide to do with the COS is done within that time. If the appeal isn't decided within that time, withdraw the appeal and put in a new application from your home country.
If you are applying from outside the UK, I would suggest that you just send in a new application as you likely to get your visa faster that way. Appeals can take a while to decide.
Please don't take my advice very seriously and endeavour o still seek advice from the moderators on this forum.
