Tier 1 G dependent visa expired. How to renew outside UK?

Post by kpr » Wed Feb 22, 2012 10:02 pm

Hi,
Tier1 (General) dependent visa was applied from India along with main applicant and it was granted for 3 years.

Now, Tier 1( General) Main applicant is in UK and got it renewed for another 2 years.

What is the procedure for extending expired Tier 1 (General) dependent visa from India?

Another dependent does not have visa now. Can we apply for this dependent and the above dependent?

Can you please help me
Many thanks in advance.

You cannot extend a visa from outside the UK. The dependent needs to apply for the visa again afresh by following the link provided.

Will they accept the afresh application for the expired visa? (OR) is there a different process for this case?

It's a fresh application and it will be accepted subject to meeting the conditions of the application.

The process is the same as for any other visa applicant. The dependent applies and provides evidence that he or she meets the rules.
