Hi, Me and my friends are planning to drive to europe and we'll be applying for schengen visa soon but need some help. How can we apply as we are group of 4 ppl who will travel together and book hotel, ferry tickets for car etc together. Can we apply as a group or individual? If individual, does that mean every person will have to attach the same documents for hotel bookings etc?? What about the car as car will be registered to one person only? And we can't attached the original V5 document with all applications are there is only 1.
Also as we'll drive to france first using ferry then we'll move on to other countries and then back to france and to uk eventually. Do we need multiple entry visa as we'll be entering france twice?
Thanks |

You will need one visa for each person.
Copy the papers of the car, adding a note that the original is with the visa-application of person X.
Whether you need multi-entry depends on which countries other than France you plan to visit. If you stay within Schengen, you will only need a single entry.

Thank you. Yeah we would travel with in schengen states only.
Can we apply for VISA from different places e.g. couple of people from Manchester and couple from London. Will that be alright?
Thanks |

Referring to, and providing copies of the other person´s application, should be OK.
Be aware that single-entry for Schengen excludes you from passing through Andorra (just in case you want to visit that area)

The more (meaningful) paper you provide, the more likely you will get the visa. |

Thanks alot. Also some of us would want to apply for a multiple entry visa does that mean we should just tick multiple entry option in the form or do we also need to provide a hotel reservations for next visit as well? We have intention to go again but its not fully decided yet as it is quite early to say that. Is there any work around that?
Thanks |

| You can apply for a multi-entry, but it would also have to make sense. Why should they give you multi-entry? "Just" because you want to go again soon, won´t be entertained, in most cases... |

Ok makes sense. So If we just provide hotel booking for next visit (which I think we can change later) will that suffice? Or do we also need to provide plane/ferry tickets etc?
Thanks for your responses so far. |

It´s really the same as per the normal application, for which you find all you need here:
http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=102396
Nothing is absolutely required, it´s always "the more you provide, the better you can justify your travelwishes and the better you can prove that you don´t want to stay for good, the more likely it is that you will receive the visa as requested".
To make a long story short, you can apply for a multi-entry, but in all likelihood you won´t get it, unless your job absolutely requires it.
I find the Schengen-approach (single, single, single...) counterproductive and idiotic, but I didn´t make the rules, and also can´t change them...
Good luck |
