Why cant I delete my own thread?

I have started a thread on Irish citizen application for minor. Just after that i found that information on INIS itself. I tried to delete the thread, but there is no link or button for that eventhough no one has every replied or read my thread. Why is it that way? And also there is no link to contact admin for a request to delete my thread? Sad
