Hi,
I got into big trouble with names in birth certificate and passport.

The mother's name in birth certificate is her maiden name. We got her passport updated after getting the birth certificate to her married name. The council refused to change birth certificate details because the PPT was issued after birth certificate. They are suggesting to go though solicitor. Also tried contacting GRO (same reasons given)
HCI refused on grounds of mismatch (just been to London HCI personally).

I am now in a serious issue - as both depts refusing to change because of their guidelines. Can people please share some thoughts.

Also if required, can I get some solicitor references (if moderators have no objections) please pm me. I am desperate to get this resolved...
