Hi all,

My wife has an appointment with the premium service in Croydon on the 2/8/12. Her 2 years on the spouse visa will actually complete on the 26/8/12.

Now, her sister has had a medical emergency and it may require travel for my wife to Japan. If so, she would be there for a while (could be from a week to 8 weeks, it's all very unclear now).

What are our options in this case? For example, if she were to go now, and come back on say the 24/8, would they still let her back in so she can apply for ILR? Alternatively, is there a way to extend the dates in case she has to come back on say the 15/9?

Any ideas/options appreciated.
