Hi. I've just have an offer for PhD in Galway, Ireland. I'm Non EU student. I will be married next year so I want to bring my wife to Ireland. Is this impossible? Could anybody show me the light? We really need to live together after married.
Thanks. |

info re students is here:
http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Students
I am not sure about the current situation following the changes, but previously researchers were able to bring their spouses with them, provided that the income they receive from their studies and research could support both of them in the state.
Spouse was getting stamp 3 and was not able to work in the state.
But as I said, it may not be a case following the changes in 2011.
The best would be to contact general immigration as they deal with queries re all students, and Visas re entering the state. |
