Hi,

I'm applying for visa of type Tier-4 PBS dependant. My spouse is already in the UK on Tier-4 visa, doing PG research (NQF level Cool and her permit is valid till 2015.

When she consulted one of the immigration adviser in UK regarding my visa application, she was informed that I have to fulfill english requirement to enter UK. However I could n't find this information in UKBA website. As per Nov 2010 notice on UKBA, english requirement applies only to partner of british citizen.
Can you please confirm if it applies to dependant of tier-4 applicants as well?

That's because there is no such requirement. The adviser you spoke to must be completely incompetent if he understood the exact nature of your status and application yet said there was a language requirement.
In your post, the forum software of this site has generated an emoticon rather than reveal the actual study level. Can you confirm that it will be Level 7 and with a HEI? You can't apply unless both requirements are there.

My spouse studies is of level 8 (eight) at a HEI.
