| something which i have been thinking about can ECO's check a bank account or contact banks for information would banks inform you im asking in general can they contact agencies work places etc is there an obligation for departments to notify you ? |

ECO will not contact a Bank unless they are suspicious of fraud.
ECO would simply refuse the case if the documents provided to show financial details (bank statements) do not meet the requirements i.e. statements need to show name, address and account numbers clearly.
