Hello Festronaut, How are you? OK, so you applied in July, right? Did you get any acknowledgement letter from the home office yet? I applied in June but have not heard anything from them so far, no acknowledgement letter, and still awaiting. Did you send your papers to Liverpool address, like PO box 306, dept 21, L2 0QN etc? |

Hello khus9201 ,
All good, thank you. You ?
Nothing in my side happened. Not even biometric. I will update soon I get anything.
They seem to be slower than any other time. We just have to wait as we are still second class in this country lol
I met a girl from the home office on a night out and she said half of the staff had gone down to help with the Olympics plus a lot of people on holiday. So they are so slow at the moment.
Thank you guys for sharing your experience. Please keep us updated.
Regards,
Doodoo |

Yes. I did. I received oral confirmation (telephone) that they have my documents. Yet to receive written confirmation. Meanwhile, I got a job, but need to show my prospective employer that my docs are with UKBA. So, I wrote a letter, couple of days ago. I will let you know guys about the progress. |

UKBA will probably write back to you referrring you to this link http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/business-sponsors/preventing-illegal-working/support/ecs/. Instead, you could get your new employer working on this right away. _________________ Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.

Hello mshasan24,
You possd my statements on here ... I have sent my application on the 3rd of July and I have not heard anything from them yet. I now moved house and set a post redirection just not to miss anything although I sent them a letter telling them that I moved house house exactly the way they want it in the guide line and still have not heard anything .
To be honest they tell you it could take up to 6 months ... But I gathered they normally get in touch within 12 weeks .. this is what I got from my researchs here ans there .
Regard to your work, how did they find out about your work status ? Is this a new job ? Or have you been with them for more than a year ? I read on the h.o. website somewhere that you are entitled to work while awaiting application, dig put and find.it then print out the link and take it to your lazy employer ..
It is really bugging me these days, because there are plenty of people looking for jobs potential employers are so fussy with paperwork and if you tell them you just need to.check they will say we can't be bothered plenty of red passport holders ready for work instead of complicated person like you .
Any question ask and I will update soon as something comes.
Cheers,
Doodoo |

I will let this forum know the progress of my application. Be cool mate. Allow 6 months for the progress of the application. So you would be a happy person, when you get ur docs in 3 months time. |

Yes Sir
I have been working for Barclays almost the last three years I recently applied higher position and luckily got it but the only reason they have refused to give me a new contract is because my LLR is running out on september 25th, they offered me an opportunity if I will not get the ILR on 29th of October then that chance is going off and aparently the HR have sent me a letter that I have been suspended till I am getting the ILR.
on my case I got a help from the law centre of my city when I was applying the ILR, and they have issued me an official letter confirming that I am eligible to continue my work and let me see what they says when i submit this tomorrow |

fatalist Congratulation to you sir; you are out of this frustration and anxious situation, May we know the exact time scale you have been waiting for, what makes me bit frustration is the time scale is not even the same, some of them are four months, three months, two months, Fatalist I need to know whether you have been asked to have a biometric finger print
because the Biometric policy have been applied from 29th of February and this new policy is making all the system very slow... |

A little bit of research would go a long way.. to relieve unnecessary stress.. _________________ Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.

It seems that UKBA was quick to verify my right to work to my employer (Hotline) , so my job offer still stands |
