Hi
I am on PSW. I have registered a Limited Company with companies house. I only got 2 months of visa left on my PSW. I tried to open a Business bank account but Banks refused me because I dont have at least 3 month visa. I got £25k in my personal account but I haven't invested anything yet. The rest of the money will be sponsored by my friend. My question is: Is it mandatory to open a business account before applying for visa? |

If you don't open a business bank account, how will you show a trading contract? I guess you can show just the contract and not the transaction but in my opinion, it will look more genuine if you show invoice and your business bank account statment along with the contract.
Which bank do you have your personal account with? |

A registered company with Company House should have a seperate Business Bank account , having same Title as of your Business, bcs the business is considered a seperate legal entity from the individual.
You may not get this infomration on UKBA but if you consult an accountant they will help in clearing this point.
However if you intend to apply for a visa in the capacity of Sole Trader where you dont need to register with Company house but just need to register as Self employed with HMRC, then your personal account is enough and you dont need to waste time on opening business account. _________________ God help those who help themselves |

If you have registered a company then the business account will act as an ID of your business. Do not put your funds in business account because it wouldn't be in your name. It's title would be with your business name not with yours. It is mentioned in policy that main funds must be in the account with your own name.
For business account , Did you try HSBC or the bank where you already have account? If not then go there immediately. |
