Hi All,

My Indian Passport expires in May 2012.

I am thinking to apply by post to HCI Birmingham in this week.

My current passport has my UK visa which run out in April 2012.

So as soon as I get my new passport I will apply for my new visa from uk homeoffice.

Question that bothers me is - Will I get my old passport back that shows my visa till April 2012.

If no, then how will I prove to UK homeoffice that I have a valid visa until april 2012, in my application to get a new visa.

has anyone been in this situation? could you please reply.

is that a normal practice? or should I do something differently or fill in any form to get my old passport back.

its already expired and so has the UK visa or your dates are incorrect

Your cancelled Indian PP with valid UK visa will be returned to you with a new Indian PP. Carry the old one along when you travel outside the UK.
