Hi everyone

I'm a Mechanical Engineer by profession and having a Masters Degree, and I'm currently applying for the FSWP equivalent to the Permanent Residency. I'm little paranoid as I have only an year of work experience as mech.engineer, so will it be ok with this experience to get a job as a mech.engineer in a junior level initially. and could anyone please tell me the various sectors in canada which offer mechanical engineering jobs. look forward to hear from you all.

thanks in advance

Could I ask you when you started with this application? The FSWP has been on hold for several months now as it was "re-designed" and the new program will start next January. Thousands of applications were actually returned by Service Canada in order to clear up their backlog.

Moreover, Engineers have been out this list for years.

Anyways, Mechanical Engineers can work in various fields, such as: Oil & Gas, mining, manufacturing, steel, preventive maintenance, among others. But, you will need to have pre-arranged employment, have your certifications validated, take an English test (not a big deal) and pass a psychometric test.
