Hi,
I have left with 3 months to apply for the ILR.
I am looking for a highly recommended lawyer who will not charge during the first meeting and consulting. Can anyone please recommend?
Many thanks,
Ben

What a silly request!

First of all if you are applying for ILR, this is the wrong forum.

Secondly why would a lawyer want to help you for free?

Thanks for your approach.
He would want to help for free in the first meeting cause later he will get paid for processing the application. Hope it's more clearer for you now mr. smart.

1. Oxymoron.

2. Everyday hundreds of people spend time on these forums and successfully apply without needing solicitors expenses.

Sorry I maybe should have not been so direct.
But I think it is very hard to find a solicitor who is very good. And that they would also not charge you for the first meeting would be very unusual.

And as wpilr_nov12 points out, the application should be very straight forward in any case.

I suggest you take your time to read various posts in this forum before you make up your mind to use a lawyer. However if you feel your case isn't that straight forward or you can not find a related post in the forum to your case, then you need to indicate where you stay. This avoids the possibility of leaving your base to visit a recommended lawyer .Thank you
