Thanks for the quick reply.Just had a thought,we completed 5 years exercising Treaty Rights end of January 2012 can we apply for naturalization end of January 2013 without PR certificate? If I apply for PR now shouldn't I wait for another year after it's granted(IF).

See Q5 in Citizenship FAQs - Common Questions - Read before posting.

BTW - If you were working legally in the UK before 2007, then that time is also considered part of the 5 years exercising treaty rights (even though Bulgaria only joined in 2007) so you could have probably applied for naturalisation already in 2010. See more details in PR requirements changed for A8 and A2 nationals : ECJ ruling.

Hi,I had 5 year work permit starting in Nov2004-when I arrived in UK and started work.Husband and son joined 2006 as dependents on my WP but in 2007 we all obtained blue reg certificats, also I changed my employer, then our daughter arrived later in 2007 under the EU law.So if I understand correctly I can apply for naturalization now?I do have all relevant paperwork to prove the above.Thank you

Yes (and your children as well if they are under 18).

Your case is not a standard one and requires specific knowledge of European immigrations laws. I suggest you write a cover letter with the application detailing the relevant case law I pointed and why you are elgibile. Alternatively, apply now for PR Confirmation using form EEA3 (free application) and later apply for naturalisation.
