ESOL taken abroad before arriving to UK

I am planning to apply for BC in March, trying to sort out what I can in advance, hence my question. Does anyone know if I can use my Cambridge ESOL - BECS Higher certificate that I took in my home country in 2004 as proof of meeting language criteria? It is in my maiden name as well. (I arrived to UK in 2007)

It does not matter how old the certificate is, as long as it is at level B1 cefr listening and speaking. The qualification should be mentioned in this document. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... -tests.pdf

Thanks, I found it, according to that list it does not expire, which is great, one less thing to worry about.
It is in my maiden name, but I guess since I have to mention previous names under which I was know it should not be an issue either (I have a marriage certificate with my maiden name on it). But what is this candidate ID number and secret number, I have not idea what that is (meaning I do not have it)? Any idea?

This whole candidate number drama is for entry clearance applications.

You have used this document in past, so they have all the details they need already on your file.

Read the BC application carefully and you will find you do not need to give that info. Just do what it says on the application from. Do not create requirements from your head.

But the links which is you post it shows ESOL Speaking and listening from Trinity College is for immigration purpose valid for two year. No body can clarify that I am still confused please help my question thank you advance.

As I already explained, that validity date is only relevant for entry clearance application. For settlement and naturalisation, the validity date has no meaning.

If you want further confirmation, then please send me £ 100 pounds and I will send you a sworn affidavit that what I am saying is correct.

But you need to make sure that at the time your qualification was issued there was no "secret number" thing that time. If there was, then you must have submitted the same at the time of your intiial application.

If you are still unsure about this "secret number" then you may want to make subject access request to UKBA. Will cost you £ 10 pounds, and on CID prinout of your qualification will be all the details of you qualification that you submiitted. You can submit copy of your CID printout with you application.

why don't you just post a link on forum about your reply to babe_khyber that what you are saying is correct, it will help everyone around,
