I have received biometric card on Tuesday for my ILR.

I was going through BRP card and I found the Valid until date (Expiry date) was 5 month short of 10 years. I have raised this issue with BRP error Team. I got reply from them that they are looking into this and investigating this.

Then after I spoke to home office and learnt that the expiry date on card is expiry date of card not ILR. and I emailed BRP error team to stop further investigation.

Do I have to worry here. do they cancel my existing BRP card.

Waiting for your reply Please

Thanks

i have a gap in my visa of 25 Days

My visa history is as below :

STATUS Valid from Valid til

Student 01-Sep-05 31-Jan-07
Student 02-Feb-07 30-Nov-08

Hoping to Apply for Indefinate but need to know if having a gap of 25 days from home office letter Issue date and re submission of application will cause an issue for ( same day ) ILR Visa ?

thoughts and suggestions would be much appreciated

First of all you may post your query on right place , such as Indefinite Leave to Remain or EEA route Application thread.

I believe you should be fine as maximum time to avoid illegal period is 28 days gap in between applications and you have of 25 days.

You would need all yours passports + Life in UK test + Approved English Test ( In yours case you may provide your degree on which bases you got PSW) + Evidence of Treaty rights of your EEA family member.

And a covering letter stating your immigration background may be nice to explain.

I am sure some more experts member will reply you if you could post your queries at rights place.

Do we get a letter informing of the outcome first (is that the decision date on timeline?)?
Then the documents returned in special delivery envelope?

Decision and Documents come together in one envelop. Not signed for 2nd class. In time line u need to give decision date (should be on approval letter). and the date u receive it.

Then the biometric card which needs to be signed for I believe?

Then BRP delivered by courier company called DX need signature

Thanks in advance. (I'm not going to be home for a week, so wonder what to expect in my absence!)
Zee ali, thanks for reply! :D

Oh I hope it'll come in the special delivery envelop I included, so not get lost!

Hapoo thanks for answers too and info. Ok I will check with my track no too then!!
@sud315

U r next man. Hopefully hear from them next week. Fingers crossed.

Where is Haq and tend? Both of them also waiting for long now but didn't come on board to express their feelings and emotions.

Yes i know that date is for the BRP card expiry date not the leave.

But i think the reply you got is auto reply that do not make any travel?

thanks

Since2015 wrote:Congrates happo.

Do not do the mistake like I did. on my BRp card I found expiry date in 2024. I thought it is wrong and send an email to brp error team. they advised me not to travel until they resolve the issue.

then I resend them an email not to do any further investigation. I ma waiting for their reply as I have to travel next month.

do not know what to do.

Thanks
