So I sent my passport in Jan on the 18th. Got acknowledgement on the 25th dated 20th. Still no news. Payment taken. Someone said if they sent the acknowledgement letter then it is only a matter of time, it will be fine?

9 years student, 2 yrs PSW. Came in Sept 2000 so qualified in Sept 2010 but did not apply then as I was low on funds. My visa expired on January 22 this year but I applied and got acknowledgement before it expired. My first passport got lost in 2001, but had a replacement passport which they have used but I sent copy of landing card. However even without landing card, i still have proof of ten years from 2001 to now as I applied after 11 years not ten. This forum make be feel better that there are delays but I am seeing people in Feb now getting their passport back and I am worried.

I got mine back today. Was stamped 4th April!

Zainy, u should be the next one, am sure ur ILR has been stamped,, its just waiting to be sent which takes a month to post Lol unfortunately.

Hi everyone. By the grace of God allMighty I receive my passport today with ILR endorsed. Guys its being painful having to to wait this long but it all pay off at last. Guys have faith in God and be patient so I wish everyone in this forum that are still waiting a very good luck.

Just to give mine:

Applied and posted on......01/02/2012
Acknowledgement....a few days later
ILR Stamped (Liverpool).....10/04/12
Passport with stamp received on 03/05/12

Home Office sent letter by special delivery which I had included in my application.

Straight forward case - 7 years student, 2 years PSW and 1 year Tier 2.

Documents sent: Application form, Old Passport, New Passport, Life in the UK results and table showing when I left the country, reason and how long.

Another table showing immigration history.

Good luck to all those waiting.

PP received.................. 02/05/2012

Strightforward case (6.5yrs Student+2yrs(IGS+PSW)+1.5yrs T1General)

No Gaps, never spent morethan 18 months in the 10 yrs period and never stayed 6 monts at a stretch outside the country. No public funds and no criminal record.

Documents sent:
All paspports, LIUK Certificate, Covering letter and prepaid envelop. PP returned in the prepaid envelop.

Thanks Zainy, all you need is enough patience, and trust me you will glorify God in the end. The ILR was stamped on 10th April. It's a shame it took nearly a month for the postage. @Rajapk2012 The postman pressed my bell to deliver my passport this morning.

Case:
Straight forward - Student + Tier 1 visa. However, lost passport had my first visa for 1 year. Had a photocopy of the lost passport and the visa fortunately!

Documents sent:
Application form, Photocopy of lost passport/visa, lost report from police station, Old Passport, New Passport, Life in the UK results and table showing immigration history and details of absence from the UK.
