Dont worry it is a usual case. Gap is when once your Visa is refused and then you did appeal and you got visa after acceptance of appeal. Then Gap is counted from the refusal date till visa stamp date. That is not your case. Dont worry
Hi
also a gap is if you have applied to renew your visa after the expiry of the previous one. then this would be a gap

I'm thrilled. I sent it on the 19th September, which was a Monday, so today it's the first day of the 9th week. PR was stamped on the 16th November, came back by 2nd class Royal Mail with all the documents apart from the residence permit. Has anyone had the same experience? I guess the reason why they didn't end the residence permit back was because i no longer need it??
Anyway, I want to thank everyone here for being so supportive and those who had answered my queries before. Good luck to those who are still waiting.
Hey Congrats .. good news. I applied same day as you.. well I am still waiting ... did you send prepaid envelop ? anway I hope you are enjoying now..

I didn't send any prepaid envelopes. The pack was returned by 2nd class Royal Mail.

Hi Raja,
Do you have any gaps? Did you give explanations about them?
Whether it makes any differences I don't think so! I have sent my SAR proof and it didn't make processing my application any quicker.

Hi,
I just wanted to share my story with others on this forum. I've been a silent follower for a while. Since I got my passport back I thought my details could help someone.
application sent special delivery: 5 September 2011
acknowledgment received: 12 Sept dated 09 Sept
cheque cashed out: 14 Sept
passport received: 18 November*
stamp date 11 November
* the postman did not ring my door to make me sign for my passport even though I was home on friday, he just shoved it through my letter box instead! I only saw my passport yesterday as I hadn't checked my letterbox friday and saturday. I know it was delivered friday because that is the day reported on the royalmail website tracking service.
I only sent the required documents. My case was straightforward, no gaps and I applied 22 days before. My passport was returned to me by second class recorded delivery.
Good luck to everyon waiting

Hi Vien,
at least this is a some relief, but why the delay is in your case only, as far as we know. I thing the file is SAR, if I am correct in apreviating it.
I guess your MP should make a fuss, so yours raja, so the case can be prioritised.

Hi ah_kassem,
I don't know if it is the SAR that they're waiting for. I did my own SAR request before applying for the ILR, wanted to make sure I have a good explanation for my gap, then submitted all the SAR results as proof with my ILR, so they really should have everything they need to process... I will contact my MP again after this week.

Raja sahib please go to MP without wasting time as Home office could stay quite if you or solicitor ask but they might answer if MP ask.

Hi Raja,
A couple of days ago My MP had updated me that according to UKBA there is a delay with my case as the caseworkers is still waiting for my main file to be transferred in from another HO location. I don't know what that meant, but at least this is an update. What do you think?
