Hi all,

I received my passport with ILR endorsement today and am sharing this good news with you all. As some of you might know that my passport was mishandled by the UKBA and was sent to someone's address. I had to ask for an intervention of my local MP, which helped in getting a prioritised processing for myself (10 year long stay), my wife (10 year long stay) and son (SET-F). My wife and son already received theirs and I finally got mine. Here is my timeline:

Application sent: 3 Oct 2011
Application received by UKBA: 4 Oct 2011
Money taken from my debit card: 7 Oct 2011
Mishandling of the package notified by its recepient: 17 Oct
Acknowledgement Letter received: 29 Oct (note that it was only issued once they got my package back from the other receipient)
ILR stamp date on my passport: 11 Oct 2011
Passport received: 17 Oct 2011

I had submitted only the essential documents: completed SET-O form, LIUK test certificate, my old passport and new passport.

This forum has been a great help to me. I would like to thank you the forum members for their help in the time of need.

Hi Guys

Just to let you all know, I have received my passport back this morning with ILR.

I applied on the 15/09/2011 and received it back this morning so 9 weeks exactly.
The date on the visa is 8/11/11 from liverpool. I sent quite a few documents with my application - 6 months payslips, 2 yrs P60, 6 Months bank statmeent, Tennancy agreement, lituk, photographs.
I forgot to include the photocopies and did not send any prepaid envelope

Hey all I have been a silent member of this thread and just got my passport back last week with an ILR stamp on it.

Time line:
Applied 04.09.11
Ack letter 09.09.11
Passport Rec'd 11.11.11

Total time 9 weeks
6 years on student and 4 years on WP. Student visa application rejected once in 2005 reason incomplete application (no enrolment form)

Docs sent:
old + new passport
LITUK test cert
cover letter
3 x payslips
1 x P60

Hi everyone, Im a new memeber here, would like to post my application status as well

still waiting and it has been 12 weeks

I applied through lawyer, my lawyer called HM twice or three times to ask about my status, the last time he called was on Monday, and HO said my case is not yet closed, no result yet. He also said it has been been 14 weeks, so I should be make any travel plan. My lawyer told me that there are three offices that are processing 10 yrs, Crydon, Liverpool and Sheffield, and my case is with Liverpool office.

I heard that most people receive their PR back within 10 weeks, I hope mine can be back asap, as I need to make an urgent travel.

Ive got to say this forum has given me hope, all of you here are God-sent comforters. Ive been a silent member of this group and I also applied for ILR 10yr residency, recently at work ive been having a terrible time and because I was on tier 2 I couldnt really say much but kept soldiering on... so I sent my application 25/08/11 using a lawyer under being a student and Tier 2 got a reply letter saying its being passed to a case worker 31/08/11 then got a call today from my lawyer saying it has arrived 14/11/11 but was stamped 27/10/11....So all in all about 11.5weeks... (student and Tier2)

Hi guys I have been a silent follower of this forum for some months now.
Congratulations to ah_kaseem not only on getting his visa but doing an incredible job on this forum. It has been ENORMOUSLY helpful to me, so now here is my info to increase our sample size.

Set O application - 5 years student visa, 4 years permit free work visa, 2 years tier 1 general.
applied after 10 years and 11 months in the UK.
extensive travel (absences) from UK but days 'made up' in the extra 11 months.
no criminal convictions, no gaps between visas.

Attempted delivery second class recorded: 10/11/11

Hi Guys
Just some food for thought. It appears those who send a return special delivery envelop with their application are on average receiving their passports back a week or more earlier than those who do not.
A number of post here indicates for example that most applications returned last week and this week were stamped around 27th of October. However, only those who sent a return envelop with their applications received ther passports last week. A number of past yesterday had their ILR stamped on the same date yet only received passport back yesterday.
