10 years long residence applications

Do you last august as in two months ago? Wow, that must a record. Thought the student apps tended to take longer. What did you do right?

Hello guys,

I received my passport back with PR today (10 year - student applied on 10 Aug). Thanks for the valuable information posted on this forum which is remarkable.

But, I sent my spouces passport for 2 year visa extension yesterday only with a cover letter 'my passport is still in homeoffice....", I don't know what will happen ? Do they ask again my passport ???? I hope they take reference of my application, Don't they ?

I am just wondering... does everyone receive an acknowledgment letter? My application was posted on 17th Sep but i haven't received anything from the home office yet.... however I know they have received my application because the fees was deducted from my bank account...

My wife applied around the end of March 2010 and we received her Passports back stamped with her Indefinite Leave which was issued on September the 17th

So that took about nearly 6 months to get ,which is what they now saying is the processing time these days

SO HANG IN THERE IF YOU HAVEN'T GOT YOURS ,YOU CAN ACTUALLY CALL THEM AND GIVE THEM YOUR REF AND THEY CAN GIVE YOU A PROGRESS REPORT ,BUT THEY CANT GIVE YOU TIME SCALE

I received my passports back from the UKBA today 30/09/10. The ILR was stamped in Liverpool on 27/09/10. This is the timeline.

Payment Taken on: Friday 23/04/2010
Application Acknowledgement: Friday 23/04/2010

Passport stamped: Monday 27/09/2010
Passport, etc received: Thursday 30/09/10.

TOTAL WAITING TIME: PRECISELY 23 WEEKS TODAY. Yes! Itâ€™s been the longest wait of my life...but itâ€™s well worth it. Thanks a million to everyone here for the support. Please just hang on there and hope for the best. The very best wishes to everyone still waiting and good luck for the future.

NB: Zeddie, I hope yours arrive sooner than later. You applied some two weeks earlier before me.

I received my ILR today, for certain this time - I got my solicitor to check twice while she was on the phone telling me.

My timeline is in the 14 year thread for those that are interested. However I wanted to post my thanks on this thread to those 10 year applicants that have supported me over the past 8 months. It's meant a lot and I will never forget that support.

Congratulations to all those long term waiters that have recently received your ILRs. I was so happy to read your good news

Congrats Chiko14june! And, the very best wishes for your future endeavours! Were you on student's visa throughout the 10 year period or on a mixture of visa types (e.g. student+wp, etc)?

Passports Received Via Royal mail to solicitor-27 Sep 2010 .(31.3 Weeks)

hello everyone
finaly I have very good news

ILR Received on 22 September 2010 - total waiting time 28 weeks
Filed application form myself, did not send too many additional documents, although sent a savings account statement to prove that I am financially stable. in the whole waiting time I called UKBA only twice, never got my MP involved (to be honest dont even know who she or he is).

I am very pleased as the waiting game is now officially over for me as well as the trouble of visa extentions will never bother me again.

I would like to thank you all for mutual support and wish you all the best!!!

Finally got my ilr today. Its been a long 8 months wait. had a very stressful time. this forum had been very helpful though i couldn't contribute to this thread (i mentioned few times that i called the UKBA)
