Google drive is excellent who ever maintaining doing a great job. Please don't mess with it.
I have question regarding my son status. He is 10 months old and once I receive my ilr I'm planing to apply for registration using form mn1. I want to find out is there any age restrictions. As this dec he will be 12 months old and right now he hasn't got any visa. I'm just applying for his Pakistani passport.
Secondly my wife came to UK in jan 2012 and currently on Tier 1 general dependant visa. Once I get my ilr can I apply for her ilr straight away as she came before the 5 year route. Or do I have to apply flr(m) before ilr. And if so when can she apply for ilr. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ali
There is no age restriction to applying for MN1. You can apply for someone who is born today as long as you have received your ILR before the birth.
You can not apply straight away for your wife's ILR. Yes you have to apply FLR(M) for your mrs first, then after 5-years(as per the new rule) you can apply for her ILR. As you obtained your ILR after 6th of April, her previous stay in the UK is now set to zero. She will have to start all over again starting with first 2.5 yrs on FLR(M) and then another 2.5 yrs completing 5-years (2.5yrs + 2.5 yrs = 5yrs- qualified for ILR). Hope my explanation is clear enough?
Goodluck.
Hi
Thanks for your reply my son was born on 4 dec 2013 that time I was on Tier 1 general and I am applying for ILR now so once i get my ILR i can apply for MN1 registration right?
Regarding my wife even if my wife came before this 5 year route still she has to wait for 5 year she arrived in UK on 27JAN 2012 and currently on tier 1 general dependant. As I have spoken to one solicitor few months back and he advised me that once she gets dependent visa on FLR(M) she can apply straight away for ILR. And if 5 year route do I have to show income. Please clarify and sorry to be a pain.
Thanks

Hello Shahjee bhai, umamah wrote:Hi Ehasan bahi,
Can you confirm the dates with your friend that
what date his Mrs applied for her FLR(M)?
I am dead sure that she applied it beofre the 6th of April 2014,
and than could you also confirm with them that,
Did she received a 2 years visa on that FLR(M) ?
Yet again I am dead sure on that, that she received a 2 years visa.
If both of the above statements are correct than she was still covered under the transitional arrangements, any application after the 6th of April 2014, from a dependent of a settled person through long residency i.e 10 years long stay, have to apply FLR(M) through Appendix(FM) and I don't think that paragraph 287(a) is relevant any more.
If you can kindly confirm these dates for us, that will be great, as there are many members who can take advantage from your friends case, and this information is very relevant, especially to the dependents of settled person through 10 years long residency.
We will be eagerly waiting for your reply. Many thanks.
Kind regards
