Hi Shahjee,

I would complete my 10 years in UK on 7th September 2014.

When would it be best to submit/post my application considering I can apply 28 days before 10 years of my completion ?

Thanks

so you mean that in the column how many of documents at checklist then if payslips attached then write them in numbers like 123456 payslips and if bank statements attach then write the duration in this column of how many like 3/6/9/15 months statements?
Hi cool mind,
Yes you are spot on, if it's payslips, or letters from NHS or any other letters just write how many in numbers like 123456, and if bank statements than it's better mention in months, as you know some times bank statements can be on more than one page, and in the mean while you also want to let the case worker know that you have already attached 12 months worth of bank statements.
I hope it helps mate.
Kind regards

Is marriage certificate a must for FLR M?
Hi joanie,
I would say that it is very important to have the marriage certificate, as being a married couple your whole case is based on it. But on the actual FLR(M) form it is a bit ambiguous if you check on page 60 it says and I quote

12B Spouses and civil partners
If you are applying for a first extension of stay as a spouse or civil partner, in addition to the relevant documents in sub-section 12A, you must provide the following documents:
Your civil marriage certificate or civil partnership certificate

so they saying that if you are applying for the first extension of stay as a spouse or civil partner, than provide the marriage certificate, in most of our cases our dependents have already been on PBS dependents status already, and that is not their first time to apply as dependents, so what shell we assume.
So I would suggest that if it's there than it's better to attach that, but if not there than ..... Make your mind looking at the above mentioned. May be other seniors members will give us their valuable feedback on this issue.
Kind regards
Shahjee

Thanks for any input.
Hi Mrs.P,
I hope it is good news for you. Looking at the timeline we were expecting good news from you last week, and as you said that they send it out on the 30th of July, which makes it almost 5 working days already. Your Solicitor have definitely received it, but for them not to contact you is a bit strange. These solicitors charge all that money, and when it comes to the services than they are legging behind every one. Hate their attitude, hence I believe in a no solicitor policy, I understand that with your situation you didn't have the choice at that time when you applied.
My best wishes with you, and I hope you can give us the good news soon.
Kind regards

Hi members,

I just got ILR few days ago, and I am preparing FLR (M) visa for my wife. My wife got her dependent visa after 07/2012. I understand we will have to meet the financial requirements.
However, we have a bit complex situation here. Can anyone advise please?

My wife has been working for more than 6 months and her annual salary is slightly below £18,600. I have been a full time PhD student for the past 4 years. I did some part-time for the university in the past few months. I want to know if my part time income is counted as ‘salaried income’? Can we combine these two incomes when applying for FLR(M)?

As we plan to move in September to another city for my new job. My wife will resign her job and move with me. Her current employer might not issue the letter to HO, say she is still employed by them.
In this case, can we wait till I start my new job and apply for her visa using my new contract? I understand if so, my employment will be less than 6 months, and we will still need to provide HO with the past 6 months’ income.

Do we have to change her dependent visa to FLR(M) within 28 days?
I read the guide. It only says must change before going abroad and need to change before the expiry date on the current visa.

Thanks in advance for your help. (Btw, should we create a separate discussion on this topic?)

Hi die_hard,
No I didn't write any covering letter with my ILR(LR) application, but the most you could write about is to give them a bird eye view about all your visa history and the documents that you are sending with your application. I hope it helps.

For FLR(m),

Self employed case: Your/spouse last financial year's earnings with invoices, bank statements and tax returns of £22,400 (spouse +child). (apr 2013 to apr2014). Accountant can provide you letter and tax returns. They can submit tax returns online.
Also evidence that you/spouse are still working and earning more than £22,400 per year. so invoices and statements of (May 2014 -till now).
You can combine your and spouse earnings to meet financial criteria. English language requirement is also required.

Hello,

All those people whose dependent’s are in UK before July 2012, but could not applied for FLR (M) before 06/04/2014 and now force to wait 5 for more years for indefinite Leave to Remain. Please join us as we are moving towards challenging the rule. Please visit the thread.
