Hello everyone
I applied for ILR from 02/June/2014 via my solicitor. He did not provide me any confirmation letter or anything proof that he summited but he told me he did it on the date above.
Until now it is nearly 2 months and I have not received any letter for taking biometric. I just want to ask is there any phone number of Home office that I can call to check wether my application is fine or I miss the biometric letter.

Thanks for your help

Best regards

Thanh

Dear friends
I just called Ho and they informed me that my application has been processed and they sent me a letter yesterday.but he did not had any tracking no.he told me its not a recorded letter.I did, not sent any special delivery envelope with my application.
Anyone knows if they send approval letter without recorded delivery?
Or do I need to worry about letter?

if anyone have any idea please inform me. Many thanks

Shahjee,
You been very helpful to everyone here. I have two questions. You mentioned above that 12 documents required for each individual to claim their cohabitation. Does medical history from different addresses for example. GP, hospital and other associated source would consider single documents or they all consider as individual document? . Also you told one of the thread above that anyone applying for FLR M after 6 April 2014 would have to spend 5 yrs to get ILR or is their any transition period for those who came prior to 9 July 2012. This is a contentious issue and there is already a long debate on this but still not concluded yet.

Many thanks
Hi Arsal385,
The answer to your first question is yes ideally they will be considered as one document, but let me tell you what I did for my wife FLR(M) and than just yesterday for her SET(M). I was in the exact same situation and didn't know what to do and how to make up the 12 documents or 6 documents in joint names, so what I did was to attach what ever I could find, like in medical records I added letters from GP, letters from Hospital and the medical registration cards from NHS. Than all the utility bills, gas, Electric, water, council tax. Than any other official letters like letters from HMRC, council letters regards to voter registration. Letters from the employer, pay slips, original driving licence with paper back, previous letters from the Home Office. And what I did was make then well presented marking what is what, and providing them with a set of the photocopies of all the documents, and frankly we didn't have no issues at all on both occasions. So attach what ever you can find, and trust me the more letters you have the better it will work on them, physiological effect  , you know what I mean.
Answer to your second question is I am afraid the transitional arrangement for the July 2012 dependents are over, that could have been availed if the PBS dependents applied before 06th April 2014, hence the Home Office have trapped a lot of people in this rule change, as they knew that they will catch a lot of people off guard. The visas to PBS dependents before 06th of April were under para 284 and 287 of Immigration rules, but now they deal with them under Appendix FM, and in that you can't calculate time previously spend under PBS dependent status, actually the time starts again from the day they get their FLR(M) and the total time to qualify from there is 5 years.
I hope it helps mate. I wish you all the best.

First of all Happy Eid day to all members who celebrate Eid.
I am writing to let you guys know about our experience at Croydon PEO for my wife and daughters SET(M).
We reached Lunar house Croydon PEO at around 11:00 am appointment time, the guards at the door were brilliant and as appointment was already booked so we were taken almost straight in. One of the security guy took us to the 3rd floor where at the first count the appointment time was checked and the fee paid receipt was checked and a ticket number issued.
We were than directed to wait for our turn in the cafeteria/waiting area. The screen there was helpful for us to know that it was about to be our turn. Next we were called to another desk to get the application registered and do the computer input, that was around11:27 am.
Next we were send to wait in another area to get the biometric done, that took another 30 minutes.
We were told to leave all the application material and supporting documents with them and go and wait in the cafeteria. They said that it might take another 90 minutes for them to decide and if there is any thing they will call us to discuss.
We go back to the waiting area and than it was a non stop look at what was happening to our ticket number. On the screen it keep gone through the stages of verifying the biometric details, than it jumped to case waiting for consideration and than to case under consideration, and at this final stage it just took 10- 15 minutes and than it jumped to documents ready for collection and that the ticket number will be called in some time.
Finally after a total wait of almost 2 hours we were called and given the good news that the application is successful and that biometric cards will be send out in 7-10 working days. No questions asked, absolutely brilliant. I made sure get the photocopies of all the documents that I was submitting, and looks like all that was welcomely received by the Home Office. Over all a very smooth and nice experience.
For the people who don't know about my dependents visa history, I give it as under
My SET(LR) was pending when I realised that Home Office was about to change the rules on the 06th April 2014, regards to SET(LR) dependents, and after that they will lose on any time that they have already spend in this country and have to start all over again and spend 5 more years to qualify for their ILR, hence I sprung into action and applied for their FLR(M) on the 02nd of April 2014 and requested the Home Office to hold the decision on their application till my case is decided.
My SET(LR) was granted on the 12th of June and immediately after that on the 16th of June FLR(M) was granted for my wife and daughters for 2 years under old rules, as they were pre July 2012 PBS dependent and also they applied before the rule change of 06th April 2014.
I applied for their SET(M) for today's date at Croydon PEO, and you guys know the rest of the story.
Many thanks for all the best wishes that we have received for all that time. My best wishes for all you guys who are waiting and who are about to apply.
Kind regards
Shahjee

Hi Malavan,
Yes you are right, you have to show evidence that you are earning £18600. In addition you have to show either 6 documents in joint names of you and your Mrs or 12 documents in total if it is in individual names. Could be bank statements, utility bills, tenancy agreement, tax office letters, medical records any official correspondence. I hope it helps.all the best.
Kind regards
Shahjee

Hi Malavan,
Yes pay slips, P60 any things that prove that you are earning £18,600, the income can be collective house hold, means you and your Mrs together.
She will be issued with a 2.5 years visa extendable for another 2.5, for a collective 5 years, and after that 5 year she will qualify for her ILR, I am afraid she can't apply for ILR straight away, she need to spend a new qualifying time of 5 years, any time that she has already spend in the country is null and void and is not counted to her qualifying time for ILR. I hope it helps. Many thanks.
Kind regards

hi all,

i am in UK since Oct 2004. since may 2013 i was in the appeal and my leave extended under section 3c till December 2013.

i did submit the application again within 28 days. which refused by the home office, judicial review filed and went to oral hearing but

its also refused on 07/2014. i would like to know that if i could go for court of appeal to complete my 10 years long residency would it

be right thing do because i am on temporary admission at the moment and report every 4 weeks to the local office would highly

appreciate your kind reply regarding this.
