@kunsky
Please tell us more about your situation if possible what they are looking from you? Do you hold a current visa at the moment/is your retention has been approved? Any help will be appreciated

@ cid1214

You can click my name and search all my post you will get the full gist. The only update is that I now have a daughter who is a British Citizen derived from her mother who has an Indefinite leave to remain in the U.K but was not allowed to complete her GNIB registration when she was here on a spousal visa from London due to the issue with my status. At the time of my application for both retention of rights and Citizenship I was not yet a father so I had to notify INIS of my change in circumstances which I backed up with evidence. All I can do now is pray for favourable decision otherwise I'm screwed.

@ azul1982

Here is the link to the form 8:

http://inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Form%208%20V ... c%2014.pdf

As a spouse of Irish citizen you can apply for citizenship after 3 years.

Good Luck

Please list all your addresses for the last 9 years if a standard application or 5 years if married to an Irish citizen. Include Irish and
overseas addresses.

From the form:
"Evidence of residency permission i.e. a copy of your passport(s) showing residency permission stamps for a period of 1 year
immediately prior to the application and 2 years in the 4 year period before that, equalling 3 years in total"

So you need 3 years, but for address you need to provide 5 years, including your address outside Ireland.

cid 1215, No updates here too I'm afraid

They are really slow! We should have seen approvals by now. Either they are waiting for the minister to approve a big batch, either they are just waiting to have enough people to justify the next ceremony date.
I'm also very surprised by how things became slow with them. Waiting is really hard!
Keep us updated everyone!

I applied as spouse of irish citizen a year ago and I'm still waiting..
I think I might need a session of "waiting for approval letter" n "stalking the postman" therapy at the mental hospital soon

I applied 2010 and my file was returned as they found I broke my visa the year before applying "even if they had my application for the renewal and the delay happened of their side" then I was told apply again on 2011- new application 2011 and waited until 2013 and was refused as i committed a traffic offense the same year I applied 2011- new application March 2014 and still waiting. who is here suffering the waiting !!!! I used to waiting and I don't know what will I do after !!!!
