I got my acknowledgment letter today aswell and my is same as urs .u shuld be happy atleast ur "our refrence" begins with first letter of ur last name but mine dont lol.i think these letters got nothing to do with your name tbh.

Does anybody know what kind of checks UKBA carries out? Apart from Referees and character. Do they carry credit checks or anything like that?

The home office debited my £94.00 fee on 6 Feb. and I sent the request on 15 january. Why does it take so long to correct a slight spelling error?

I applied on the 28th January and I would expect a decision to be made by the end of March judging by the speed November and some December applicants are dealt.
