Could someone please tell me , what documents i need to attached with my child first passport application. We just got his certificate through MN1.

I have applied for my daughters’ registration on 31/03/2015. Fees got deducted on 15/04/2015 . Acknowledgment letter received on 24/04/2015 dated 15/04/2015. I haven’t heard anything since. I have sent self-addressed envelope.
Has anybody got any idea about the current waiting time as I am desperate for my passport and Bio-metric card.
I should have used NCS so I could have kept my original but they charge £75 per child. I thought that was too expensive as I had to pay £150 for two.

Hi All,

Just thought I should add my son's timeline.

Applied under section 1(3) on 18/03/15, I posted it myself on 18/03/15 using recorded delivery but it wasnt delivered by royal mail until 24/03/15, this is another story with Royal mail as I had a chat with them about the delay and they sent me 6 first class stamps for the delay which more than cover the postage cost.

So the HO received the application on 24/03/15 but didnt take payment till 30/03/15.

I have just being informed the application has been successful and they have returned all the documents including the photocopy of my British passport - I wasnt expecting this back -, so we now await the certificate. It was approved on 06/05/15 and documents received today 08/05/15.

My son was already a dual national - EU national and Common Wealth national so this makes his 3rd one.

Final update - Certificate received this morning 09/05/15.

Out of total 26 applications 10 received/16 waiting.
Interestingly the Postal applications approval rate is higher than NCS. My guesstimation is Shashi20 will get his approval next/may be this week.

Rest of us should continue waiting... and hope they will start processing NCS applications...

Hi Skar,

Very good point, before I though it was opposite . If it is like that
I will send by post next time

What I read on OH website is that the application trough NCS,
when rich the HO they do not need to check that much if the application
is completed as well as to check the documents, as the NCS does it.

It Should be quicker do deal with it.

Application were made under section 3(1), children adopted abroad by British parents. The applications were sent directly from the USA by FedEx.

So far I have not received anything, and no fees have been debited yet.

Is anyone else in this situation? is there a telephone number I can call to find out what is going on?

I posted mine on 30th March and they received it 1st of April. to 15 days to deduct money from my account and acknowledgment letter received on 24th Apr dated 15th. Still waiting for result.

Mine was received on April 17th, also sent via FedEx, and I've heard nothing back. Was your tracking signature weird at all? I'm concerned mine didn't get to the right destination and I've tried emailing them to no avail. It takes up to 20 days for them to respond and I unfortunately neglected to include some info in the first email so, again, I'm waiting (probably another 20 days). The UKVI website has a way for Americans to contact their office via an American number, but there is a charge of 1.37 GBP a minute. 1-888-6839699 However, as I understand, you can't call that number for specific information about your case so I haven't tried it yet. If you try it, can you please let me know if they gave you any useful information?

Just to let know if any postal applicant has been wondering about requesting to get their passport returned.
I requested my passport and BRP card by filling the request form online on wednesday 13th as i need them for personal matter.
I received my pasaport and brp card today.
So if anyone in hurry just fill the form. It wouldnt takt 10 days as they say.
