Today is the first working day after your application reached HO (assuming it reached on 1st April). I think you will have to wait a min of 4 more working days.

Thanks for your reply :)

I am seriously worried thou :(

Having one of my friend's application declined due to using credit card (the amount of £820 was beyond her usual spending and bank froze the transaction as suspicous....) , and seeing my visa debit card isn't in the list of debit cards as per guidance notes, I chose cheque.

thats a silly mistake it still hasn't been cleared.......

I should have chosen postal order. :(

The application was received 01/04 before lunch (i tracked it) . after Easter 06..07....08.... 3.5 working days it still hasnt been cleared... all i can do is keep checking my bank account

Post by babaagba » Fri Apr 09, 2010 5:21 pm

Hello People,

I need to be educated on the issue of proof of income for FLR

I am acting as a consultant for a company back in my country and i get paid on a monthly basis.

Can i also show this as part of my earning for my FLR?

If yes, what are the documents that i need to show for this?

Thanks for your continued assistance.

Today I received visa extension for myself and my wife (dependant); thanks for all the support.

Visa expiry date: 01/04/2010
Initial Application (Previous version) : 31/01/2010
Passport returned: 17/03/2010
Correct Application: 18/03/2010
Fee deducted: 18/03/2010
Acknowledgement letter: 19/03/2010
Visa received date: 14/04/2010
Visa validity: 09/04/2013

Also as I changed my address on 01/04/2010 Home office called me and sent the passports to the new address.
s16puneet wrote:Sorry to hear that, but don't worry as long as you have all the documentation which gives you enough point you will be fine.

1. You dont need to get any special permission to stay beyond 01/04.2010. A long as you apply for extension before 01/04/2010, you can legally stay in UK till you get back application's result.

2. Yes, I have faced it before. Redirection would work for you. Double check with royal mail.

3. If it gets rejected, your rejection letter will tell you details of your appeal rights and number of days to appeal within. I think its usually 14 days. But in that case you will be better off taking solicitor's advise. Nothing to panic even then, you can still stay in UK till decision is made on your appeal. And as long as you have enough point you need not to worry.

Thanks

I am on HSMP valid till 01/04/2010 and applied for extension on 31/01/2010. But today my application was returned invalid as I used previous version of application (04/09 instead of 10/09). Now I am planning to reapply tomorrw by post as I didn't get any appointments in this month.

My questions:
1. Do I need to take any special permission to stay beyond 01/04/2010?
2. I am moving home from 01/04/2010 so what address do I need to provide in the visa application? If I give my current address, then can I use Royal mail redirection? Do they deliver passports (which require signature) as well?
3. In the worst case, if my visa gets rejected, do I need to leave immediately or will I have some time for appeal? Also my son was born just 20 days ago so if I am asked to leave, do they allow the baby as he doesn't have passport or visa. My passport is with Home office from 31/01/2010.

Any other advice is appreciated.

Congrats pulimiharish.

Friends, has anyone got idea if we can request urgent treatment for FLR application for Tier 1 General visa?

I had applied on 10th March and its more than a month I haven't heard anything about my application decision.
Payment was deducted on 11th March and I had received Ack letter by 13th March as well.

Help would really be appreciated if anyone can suggest if I can request homeoffice to consider my case in urgent basis as I have to join a new company where I must show them my visa.

Thanks

No need to worry about this as you have already proven English in HSMP visa so no need of IELTS.

Hope this help.

Entry clearance is issued from outside UK. Once you are extending your visa inside Uk, you are issued with the residence permit Visa . hope this clear any doubts that you have got.

HSMP Extension and Rule for ILR

Post by amirbashir » Wed Apr 21, 2010 9:51 am

Hi Guys,

I entered in UK 35 days after I got entry clearance in 2008. When I will apply for extension I will get 3 years from the date of current expiry.

That means after 3 years I will be short of 7 days to qualify for ILR and I have to apply for 2nd extension.

Any expert can advice please how can I avoid 2nd extension:

1. Can I request HO while sending application for extension to give me extension of 3years and 7 days?

OR

2. Should I send my current extension application just 1 week before the current expiry so that processing time should be spent after the current expiry and I will get visa 7-8 days later of current expiry.

Any expert's advice will be much appreciated.

I applied for extension (HSMP to Tier 1) in early March, and was contacted near the end of March to send new passport photos, which I did so on the day with next day delivery.

However, I haven't received anything back yet, but am 3.5 weeks away from Visa expiration. Any advice on what I should do, since I have a job and lease that I will need to take care of if I am not granted the extension?

What does it mean if they requested new photos? Do they do the check first or last? What are the possible reasons why it would be taking so long?

Thanks in advance.

Hi jchangaus, I am also in the same boat.
I applied on 10th March and heard nothing from homeoffice since then.
Atleast you were contacted for new photo which means that your case is being worked upon. Whereas I am in complete dark, I don't even know whether any case worker looking at my application or not. I hope I don't need to wait for full 14 weeks.

Did you not send your latest passport photo while you made application?

Hi Aqeel,

If you think there is no complication in your case it is better to apply yourself. No need to go to solicitor.

You can claim 5 points for UK experience if your earnings are more than 16000 GBP in UK in last one year.

Hope it help.
