First of all i would like to thank all of you for sharing your experiences, pain and expertise on the matter. I have been a silent user on this page.
Now my question is i have received a letter from the council as you have noticed in my timeline congratulating me on my successful application and giving me a ceremony date. But I have not received any letter from HO regarding my application and on the letter from my council it says i must bring HO invitation letter as well as council letter with photo ID on ceremony date but i wanna book a private ceremony to just spare my life from HO ASAP.
So what happens next? When does one get a invitation letter from HO? Should i book my private ceremony now or any suggestions would be appreciated as always.

Happy days . Postman came, had a few deliveries that I had to sign for; however I was more interested in the brown envelope that was on top of the letters on the ground. Poor guy; must have thought I was being silly.

finally after so many years/months of waiting and applying. My application got approved. Went away for xmas and juts got back home this morning with the famous brown envelope and opening it saw the letter for ceremony/citizenship invitation.

Called the local council and earliest date they had was 2nd feb so opted for the private ceremony in 2days at a cost of £100.

If I can offer 1 tip, patience! Your approval will come through, unless you have some really adverse thing it will eventually happen!
