I would not worry too much about what they say - they have said 6 months for EEA PR always even back when EU citizens received theirs back in a month. It seems non EU take the full 6 months, but EU at the moment are roughly half that time.

... having said that still not seen any DCPR's dated after the referendum... anyone who has received theirs recently please update your time tables so those of us still waiting can get a glimmer of hope :)

I am getting worried as it is 98 days now and I am still waiting for my DCPR. I posted it a couple of days after confuzzled83, who got it on the 25th (dated the 16th). I even got the confirmation email prior to the date shown in confuzzled83's timeline.

I know they say it is 6 months but it is usually less than that and we were in around 80-90 days last month. My case is crystal clear, 6 years working for the same employer, living at the same address, etc... I sent a note stating all the documents provided so reviewing my application should be pretty straightforward!

Are you an EEA nationality or non-EEA? because as far as I can see from other people application the average 80-90 days is applicable only for EEA nationality and the HO usually took a bit more time for non-EEA applications.

EEA.

I am aware it takes longer for non-EEA, but in this case I am EEA (non-A8).

I understand...fingers cross it will come soon! Maybe especially with the Brexit they might have a huge number of applications. Since you have all the documents OK don't worry about it, it must come.

Payment taken: 07/04/2016
Confirmation email: 06/05/2016
PR dated: 16/06/2016
PR received: 25/06/2016

Also my partner applied on same day as I, till now our timelines have been the same but she hasn't received her PR yet. Our forms were almost identical and both very straightforward.

Hello confuzzled83,
I would like to check with you if your partner received the PR. Because I am near on the same date of you and I haven't received mine yet.

This is the 122nd day for me

Their customer service is appalling. I called them a few times (they still haven't sent back a document I requested months ago) and every single time they told different things, though all of them advised me to wait "another 2 weeks". :x

EU citizen here since September 1998, worked mainly fulltime especially the last 5 years. Had a temporary EEC residency permit which expired in 2007, didn't renew as I didn't need to. Only got the card in the first place since I was married to someone from outside the EU/EEA.

So an EU citizen here since 1998, already on HO's system with previous EEC residency card, mainly working only short holiday stints abroad. What is the current timeline for EU citizens like me?

I have zero patience for waiting ;)

Documents received: 01/06/2016

PR received: waiting

Also in case anyone knows; Is the PR backdated or will it strictly be issued on the same date as application approval? Don't fancy waiting 12 months for citizenship application when I've been here for 18 years just cause of the date on the PR card.

Thanks

It is dated the day they issue it but as I understand from reading about it if you provide information for more than 5 years they will count the effective date from the 5th anniversary of the start of period covered. So I sent proofs from 2010-2016 to make the 5 years 2010-2014. They will record somewhere in their database the actual date they consider the PR started, and the 1 year then rolls from there.

By treaty ofc your PR status could be much earlier. I moved here in 1994 so my PR would have technically started in 1999 but I did not want to take any risks so added some extra material to the application.

This site is definitely a great resource of information and wish I found it a couple of years earlier. In light of recent events, just as many others, have applied for PR card with a view to complete naturalisation once that is approved.

Thought I would share the timeline for July 2016

EEA national (A8), in the UK since 2005 (supplied documents covering 2009-2015 only)
Straight forward case hopefully

Hi everyone. I'd like to to share my timeline.

Application for PR as non EEA spouse
Application sent 14/01/16
HO received 15/01/16
Payment taken 18/01/16
Biometric letter received 3/02/16
(Issue date 29/01/16)
Biometric sent 3/02/16
COA/Confirmation email never received
Requested COA online 03/03/16
COA received 09/03/16
(Issue date 05/03/16)
PR refused 07/07/16 Received all the document back except my passport. HO sent my passport to a local immigration compliance and enforcement teams for voluntary departure.
(Issue date 04/07/16)

The reason of the refusal was that there aren't sufficient evidence of my EEA national sponsor was exercising the treaty rights as a worker from 01/02/2010 to 31/01/2013 and self-employed from 17/11/2010.

I'm 100% sure that this is impossible. I submitted a job contract, P60, P45 and all the payslips for the evidence as a worker. The case worker (She) said that in the refusal letter due to insufficient evidence the employment wasn't genuine. How could not be genuine? The company is a very well known multinational company and I submitted all the documents. The thing is that she made a list of the documents she received and checked in the refusal letter. The payslips weren't mentioned. I don't know if this is intentionally or just she is an under skilled worker, but she overlooked all the payslips.

Another reason was there weren't any proof of my sponsor's payment of National Insurance. She said that I only submitted the NIC bills but not the proof of the payments. I stated in a separate paper and clearly mention that the payment was done online payment therefor the NIC bills don't have any stamps as paid ( If you make payment at a post office, etc you get a stamp on the bill ) I made a list of the payment date and the page of the bank statement where she can confirm the payment. Again the case worker overlooked it.

Last reason was that I only submitted 1 invoice each year as business invoice issued as a self-employed. No. I submitted at least 4 invoices for each year. Once again the case worker didn't check the documents.

Strange thing is that the case worker could have asked me to sent more evidence during my 6 months wait if she thought that there weren't sufficient evidence ( There were enough evidence and she just overlooked everything though. ) she directly sent a refusal letter and sent my passport to a local immigration compliance and enforcement teams for voluntary departure. I don't know if all this was done intentionally to kick out as many people as possible from the UK?

I'm very angry about this situation that my case should be a straight forward case but the case worker made it as a worst case. I don't want to waste my time asking for the reconsideration, therefore I've already lodged an appeal and the evidence documents have been sent out to the First–Tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) yesterday. Wish me luck please.

2 requests for you.

1. If anyone knows how to get my passport back from a local immigration compliance and enforcement teams without being deported. Please advise.

2. Please advise the timeline for the oral hearing of the appeal if anyone has an experience.

Thank you very much. Sorry for my long post.

Hi
I have sent my eea (pr) form on 21.05.2016 and recived confirmation e-mail on 23.06.2016.
I have read that some of You request passports back before end of the process so I just wonder how to request it and if that will not affect my application.
If it is possible to get my passports back please provide me with information how to do it and what is the best time to do it without any issues to my application.
Thanks

This is the link to request passports back https://eforms.homeoffice.gov.uk/outrea ... ments.ofml.

It does not seem to have affected any applications that have been completed that I have seen online. They say not to request it back before your payment has been taken however, which I am sure yours has been by now.

Just make double sure not to click the cancel application button when you request the docs back...

I applied online here: https://www.gov.uk/visa-documents-returned and got my passport back in 10 days. Be careful not to tick "yes" to "do you want to withdraw the application"! :)

Any news from people who posted their applications in April?

Just want to know how quick (hmm, slow) HO is now.

BTW: How do I add a signature to my profile?

I applied on the same date as Tony but have still not received the DCPR (although I received a confirmation email in early May). The wait is killing me; I sent a pre-paid signed-for envelope for the return of my documents so am obsessed... keep refreshing the Royal Mail tracker...

I sent them a special delivery envelope with my application for my passport to be returned but they used their own special delivery envelope.

Out of curiosity... did they send you your special delivery envelope inside their own envelope???
