Congrats on your Visa approval!!irtaza wrote:Category : Tier 1 General Extension + 2 Dependents

Aknowledge Letter : 03-June-2009
Documents Received : 16-June-2009 (2 weeks only!!!)
Status : Visa Approved till December 2012
My initial visa was going to expire on 4th July 2004. I was granted 3.5 years extension not 3 years. The reason for this is that I got my initial visa on 4th July 2007 but I came to the UK in December 2007. So they have given me a Visa till December 2012.

I wanted to know,if you had put in a request for Visa extended till December 2012,in a cover letter.Or is it that, they just saw your case and stamped till December. I'm in a similar situation, but I haven't requested for this in the cover letter.
Well, this has happened! The main issue now is to prove in an appeal since employer has refused verification???????????/vivekR wrote:I thought it is illegal in this country for someone to give you a bad ref!
Thats a fact.
I didn't ask for it and it s not "unfortunate" that I got the visa for 3.5 years instead of 3. In fact I was pleasantly surprised because if I had gotten the extension for 3 yrs only then at the end of the 3 years my total stay in the UK would have been 4 years and 6 months, not 5 years required for the ILR.dnshah2k wrote:Hi Pub,
This is not based on demand. it is as per case
It is very unfortunate because your ILR application will get delayd for that time.
In itaza's case he will apply for his ILR in dec instead of July while his initial approval was in july.
I hope this will help you.

May be i'm thinking all people are now going directly for premium service and the case workers are free from work.
It all depends on the day you apply. Because we never knew when they gonna change the rules.
My advice to the members, please make use of all relevant topics before you apply for your visa
All the Best and my sincere support to this forum
